Vojtěch Zavřel
Vojtěch Zavřel is a researcher with extensive experience in national and international research projects, specializing in numerical modeling and dynamic simulation of buildings and related energy systems. His expertise encompasses local renewable energy sources, heating, hot water, air conditioning, cooling, and indoor environments. His current research focuses on the integration of building energy systems into the broader energy infrastructure, with an emphasis on smart building management and the design of new market mechanisms that promote community energy solutions and efficient interaction between buildings and the energy grids. He received his Master's degree in Intelligent Buildings from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2013. Subsequently, he worked for four years at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he earned his PhD in 2018 within the Computational Building Performance Simulation research group. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and leads the Modern Energy Research Team at the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
