Tommaso Ferrucci
Tommaso Ferrucci is a dedicated PhD student at the University of Pisa, specializing in Energy Engineering with a focus on innovative solutions for decentralized energy systems and community energy models. He is also a project engineer at EnGreen, where he works on projects aimed
at enhancing the integration of renewable energy into national grids. His academic and professional journey is rooted in his passion for off-grid power generation, energy communities, and sustainability technologies. Currently, Tommaso is deeply involved in researching the flexibility provision of energy communities to the grid. His hands-on experience spans multiple disciplines, including renewable energy systems, data management, and energy markets. Tommaso has worked at renowned institutions, including a research stint at the Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya (IREC), where he focused on renewable energy systems. He holds a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, where his research on optimizing off-grid demand estimation and sustainable development has been highly regarded. Committed to finding innovative approaches to energy challenges, Tommaso regularly participates in international conferences and has published papers on topics like the Water-Energy-Food Nexus and game theory applications in energy communities.
