Stafka Domuzova
After several years of professional experience as a consultant in the Earth Observation sector, contributing to European-funded projects and service contracts with ESA, GSA/EUSPA, SatCen, and others, Stefka has been co-leading Climate KIC’s Earth Observation and Climate Services team since 2022. The team's mission is to illuminate the transformative potential of data, including Copernicus/Earth Observation, for local authorities in their battle against climate change. These efforts focus on promoting the adoption of climate adaptation services, empowering local authorities to identify their climate needs and co-design systemic solutions. These solutions leverage Earth Observation and other data for evidence-based policy and decision-making. The team is also extending these efforts globally, supporting countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa in leveraging Copernicus data to build capacity for using Earth Observation into the development of effective climate services. Stefka has spearheaded capacity building, exploitation, and research activities across various projects and ventures. She has conducted workshops, moderated panels, and led discussions on utilizing Copernicus data for climate change adaptation, stimulating the market of Earth Observation-based climate services, assessing the EO maturity of countries, and more.
