Scarlett Mertin is Manager Storage Regulation at Uniper Energy Storage GmbH, working on regulatory frameworks, security of supply, hydrogen storage, and the value of storage. Her focus is on enabling reliable and sustainable storage solutions that support Europe’s energy transition.
Previously, Scarlett was Policy Adviser at Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) in Brussels, where she covered gas and hydrogen storage, biomethane, and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). In this role, Scarlett contributed to shaping European energy policy and advancing decarbonization pathways.
