Sara Rossi
Sara Rossi is the inaugural Managing Director of Health Resiliency at Direct Relief, a humanitarian NGO based in California, United States. In this role, she leads pooled fund grantmaking for global health infrastructure strengthening projects — including cold chain storage capacity, medical oxygen, and solar microgrids – to ensure that health centers and hospitals are equipped to respond when disasters strike. She sets strategy and oversees the day-to-day operations of Direct Relief’s Power for Health Initiative, which provides funding for the design, installation, and maintenance of solar PV and backup battery power systems at community health centers in the United States and at clinics and hospitals around the world.
Prior to joining Direct Relief, Sara worked with leading global health NGOs working on HIV, malaria, and legal identity among other issues.
Sara is a dual degree alumnus of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health (MPH) and Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (MPA), and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.
