Przemyslaw Derwich
Przemyslaw is an EU Funding Specialist at Climate-KIC, working within the NetZeroCities team to design and advise on innovative financial solutions that help European Mission Cities achieve climate neutrality. His expertise lies in the development of financial instruments and blended finance strategies that mobilize both public and private capital to accelerate urban climate investments. Throughout his career, he has been deeply engaged in advancing renewable energy transitions in cities, supporting local authorities in scaling up their clean energy pathways and fostering systemic approaches to sustainable urban development. With extensive experience in managing European and international funds, including EU financial instruments, equity-based solutions, the EEA and Norway Grants, and the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme, he brings a comprehensive understanding of how funding mechanisms can drive transformative change. He has also led the development of a regional development strategy for the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny functional area, integrating regional growth with climate and innovation goals. His work stands at the intersection of policy, finance, and innovation, connecting public institutions, private investors, and international partners to deliver impactful, climate-aligned investment strategies across Europe.
