Peter is the Head of Grids analysis at BloombergNEF, leading the firm's global coverage on the investment, regulation, supply chains, new technologies and digital solutions required for our ageing power transmission and distribution networks to rise to the challenge of increasing levels of renewable energy and electricity demand. Our recent outputs include our annual Power Grid Investment Outlook and analysis of supply chain constraints in Europe and the US, the emergence of grid stability markets and the bold plans for new grid interconnection in the US. Prior to joining BNEF, Peter worked in the grids industry for over a decade with roles spanning across academic research, renewable connection studies, transmission system operation and planning, and grid software development. He holds a PhD in power systems from the University of Manchester.
