Omid Shahrokhi
Dr. Omid Shahrokhi is a Research Fellow at the Research Centre for Carbon Solutions (RCCS) and the Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre (IDRIC) at Heriot-Watt University, UK. Specialising in integrated energy systems, his work supports the global energy transition by bridging advanced computational modelling with real-world industrial applications.
Dr. Shahrokhi’s expertise spans subsurface energy storage (Hydrogen/CO₂), techno-economic assessments, and multi-vector energy system optimisation. He is currently contributing to major EPSRC programmes like the ENSIGN project, focusing on the decarbonisation of industrial clusters through the integration of heat, power, and storage networks.
Holding a PhD from Heriot-Watt University and degrees from Sharif University of Technology, Dr. Shahrokhi combines a strong foundation in engineering with advanced data analytics. He leverages live market and grid data to develop scalable low-carbon solutions, from campus-level retrofits to national-scale infrastructure.
