Nicola Frascella
Nicola Frascella is an Energy Engineer with a double degree in Energy Engineering from Alta Scuola Politecnica (Politecnico di Milano and Torino).
He spent several years in the energy sector, where he designed and optimized Organic Rankine Cycles and their techno-economics for low-enthalpy energy sources (geothermal, heat recovery, CSP, biomass…), gradually taking on increasing responsibility roles. There he met Stefano Salgarollo, a turbomachinery expert and inventor in charge of turbine manufacturing.
Currently Nicola has a role in Siemens, where he manages software proposals for the energy transition.
In 2023 he founded SF Energy with Stefano and developed a patent for a new concept of turbocharger, applicable in refrigeration cycles to slash their consumptions, and on space launcher propulsion systems, to decrease their weights and costs.
Now, with a second patent currently pending, they aim to exploit their patents to change the paradigm at the basis of cooling cycles and heat pumps.
