Mathieu Bineau
A graduate of École Polytechnique and Mines Paris – PSL, Mathieu became a member of the Corps des Mines in 1994.
As an innovation enthusiast, he has been introducing new technologies and deploying them on a large scale in European markets for over 25 years.
He started out in the public sector, responsible for reinforcing the electricity network and monitoring thermal power stations and dams at the Ministry of Industry, before helping to launch digital terrestrial television in France.
In 2004, he joined Sagem (now Safran) to introduce and develop a disruptive HDTV technology in Europe. In 2006, he became Vice-Chairman of Neuf Cegetel (now SFR), where he managed multi-billion investment fibre optic programme.
In 2010, he joined Voltalis, convinced that innovation is at the heart of the energy transition and can transform the electricity system.
