Matthias Rebellius
Matthias Rebellius has been a member of the Siemens AG board since October 1st, 2020. As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) he is responsible for the Smart Infrastructure business. Additionally, he leads Siemens' supply chain management and holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Siemens Switzerland.
Rebellius joined Siemens in 1990 as a development engineer. He began his career as a project manager in the field of industrial automation and, after holding several executive positions, he switched from automation to the building division of Siemens in 2003.
At Siemens Building Technologies, Rebellius held leadership roles during the company’s transformation into one of the leaders in this market with a focus on sustainability and digitalization. In 2012, he was appointed President and CEO of the Americas region in Illinois, USA, laying the foundation for what is today the largest and most successful single market. Three years later, in 2015, Rebellius took over as CEO of the Siemens Building Technologies division, leading its global operations from Switzerland and steering the business towards profitable growth.
In April 2019, Siemens appointed him as Chief Operating Officer for the newly formed Siemens Smart Infrastructure business and the successful merger of Siemens' building and power distribution businesses. At the same time, he became CEO of Siemens Switzerland.
Today, Rebellius is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy AG and Siemens Energy Management GmbH.
