Matilde Scandroglio after graduating in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Milan, developed her professional career in an international field as a product designer, creating solutions that combine aesthetics and functionality across multiple industries. 

From 2000 she brings experience in e-commerce media Industry and collaborates with different companies in the furniture and consumer goods sector as a product designer.

In 2003 she joins Whirlpool Corporation where she consolidates a solid background becoming Global Lead Designer by developing skills related to use experience, knowledge of the global markets and latest technologies aimed at creating new solutions serving a customer-centric view.

The projects she has created during this period, have obtained Design Patent and several international award such as the iF design award; the RedDot design award; Gold Award  for the Kitchen Innovation of the Year 2018 and some other important recognition.

In 2019 her focus gradually shifted toward the energy industry as she recognized the critical role of innovation in shaping its future.

As Matilde transitioned into the realm of Open Innovation, her expertise in strategic partnerships became particularly valuable in the energy sector. She now specializes in fostering collaboration between startups, energy companies, and academic institutions, driving projects that explore sustainable energy solutions, smart grids, and clean technologies. Her role involves identifying emerging technologies and facilitating partnerships that can accelerate the energy transition.

Today, as an expert in Open Innovation and Strategic Partnerships in the energy sector, Matilde plays a key role in enabling companies to adopt innovative solutions, promoting sustainability, and addressing the challenges of the global energy landscape. Through her efforts, she helps organizations navigate the complex energy ecosystem and embrace a more collaborative and forward-thinking approach.
