María Pérez Ortega is a computer engineer educated at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Madrid. Specializing in new technologies, she joined the Inetum Group (formerly GFI) in 2003 as an IT Consultant in Madrid. Since 2004, she has been involved in European Commission-funded R&D projects, later moving to Inetum Belgium as the International R&D EU Program Manager. In this role, she leads company opportunities and manages the preparation of proposals. María has coordinated over 10 projects focused on renewable energy solutions, energy efficiency in buildings, smart city regeneration, urban planning, and sustainable transport systems. She currently manages the R&D EU Program at INETUM ES.
