Juho Kivelä earned his Master of Science degree in Energy Technology from LUT University in Lappeenranta, Finland, graduating in 2019. After completing his studies, he worked at ANDRITZ as a Product Development Engineer, where he also completed his master’s thesis. His work at ANDRITZ focused on boiler and water circulation simulations, specifically related to recovery boilers. He remained with the company until 2022. In 2022, Juho joined VTT as a Research Scientist in the Machine Learning group. The following year, in 2023, he began his PhD research, which focuses on energy management agents in buildings.
