Ignacio Sánchez-Galán, Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and Global Services Officer at Iberdrola, leads the company’s global procurement strategy across its Networks and Renewables businesses. In addition to his executive role, he serves as Director at Scottish Power Energy Networks (UK), i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes S.A.U. (Spain), and Avangrid Networks (USA), reflecting his international leadership within Iberdrola. His vision combines operational efficiency with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation—key pillars in the global energy transformation.

Ignacio joined Iberdrola with a strong background in strategic and operational leadership across multiple industries. Prior to his current role, he held key positions including Business Strategy Manager, Strategy Consultant in Financial Services at Deloitte, and Plant Manager at Grupo Antolín UK. He also serves as Director at Matarromera, a leading Spanish winery.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, completed the full-time International MBA at IE Business School, and was part of the second cohort of the MBA in the Global Energy Industry at Strathclyde University. Ignacio is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
