Dr. Jens Merten studied in Munich, realised his diploma thesis in Ecole Polytechnique in France and his PhD in Barcelona University. After several positions in industrial research, he led the solar systems lab at CEA. He was elected director of INES2S research institute for 5 years. Today, he is Project and Programme Manager at CEA dealing with medium voltage DC grids.
