George Loukos holds the position of Research and Innovation Director at the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator. The main focus of his work is to promote and encourage innovation across the organisation with the objective to maximise innovation creation and adoption of new technologies as the enablers to deliver the network of the future. Before joining HEDNO George Loukos has held various positions of higher responsibility in the telecoms, ict and gas sectors. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Master’s degree in Digital systems from University of Manchester UK and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University, UK.
