Dr.-Ing. Frank Wirtz works as senior expert for future energy systems with Bayernwerk Netz GmbH (German DSO) in Regensburg. He studied electrical power engineering and did his PhD at RWTH Aachen University. Since 2009 he has worked with E.ON Netz in different asset management and grid development responsibilities and from 2014 as head of asset strategy and fundamental grid planning with Bayernwerk. He is experienced in the topics of asset management strategies, grid planning and grid development, future grid demands, technological innovations for distribution systems and grid codes.
