Etienne is a head of the Concept Grid laboratory at EDF R&D, built in 2012 to work on smart grid solution, where he was working as test engineer from 2017 to 2019. This position allowed him to gain experiences on storage system, emerging use of electricity, degraded environment, micro grid behavior. For three years before that Etienne worked as research engineer at EDF R&D' Medium Voltage equipment testing lab, gaining experience in MV distributive architecture and specification for MV transformers, panels, circuit breaker, and other equipment. Etienne graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from the French engineering school Centrale Lille.
