As CEO of Zabala Innovation since 2018, Erik Zabala has led the company’s strategic growth, consolidating its position as a European leader in public funding for innovation, R&D&I tax incentives, and strategic consulting. Under his leadership, Zabala Innovation has grown to 600 professionals with expertise in national and European programs, operating from nine offices in Spain, two in France, one in Portugal, and a Brussels hub of 30 experts.

He joined Zabala’s Executive Committee in 2009 to lead the National Area, after managing industrial R&D&I projects. Earlier, he spent eight years at ROFIN-SINAR, a multinational manufacturer of industrial laser equipment.

Erik holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Public University of Navarra (1998) and completed the General Management Program (PDG) at IESE Business School – University of Navarra (2015).
