Diego García-Gusano
Dr García-Gusano obtained a Physics degree (BSc+MSc) while at University (UC, 2007), a MSc in renewable energy technologies (UIMP-CSIC, 2009), a second MSc in Decision Systems Engineering (URJC, 2011), and his PhD related to energy modelling using optimisation from a socio-economic viewpoint (focused on electricity generation and industrial sectors), which was recognised as extraordinary doctorate award (CIEMAT-URJC, 2014). He did a couple of postdocs: Institutt for Energiteknikk (IFE) in Norway (2014-2015) and IMDEA Energy in Madrid (2015-2019). Besides, he worked as systems engineer at INDRA and TÜV SÜD between 2008-2009. Currently, Dr García-Gusano acts as a senior researcher in energy planning and prospective analysis in Tecnalia Research & Innovation, in the Basque Country (Spain).
