Denver Rumney
Denver Rumney is an energy sector professional executive with a proven track record in both digitalisation and systems integration. He has extensive experience in energy systems along with a proven track record in technological and business innovation. He has served in a key innovation leadership role for E.ON focusing on developing flexibility for constrained network connections, having previously worked in heat pump system specification and development for globally recognized HVAC market leader Daikin.
Initially training in the gas industry Denver gained a foundation in both utility operations and thermal systems, even prior to his move to the electricity sector. Adding electrical and refrigerant system disciplines to his resume he was able to combine his knowledge of three areas of technical competence and expertise, and apply these to developing a deep understanding of wider energy generation, distribution and consumption.
In recent years Denver has led the Dynamix topic at E.ON developing this digital solution from ideation through innovation to handover to the business. This solution addresses the impact of upstream grid constraints limiting capacity on Low Voltage connections, hence slowing the adoption and connection of Low Carbon Technologies (LCT’s) and microgeneration. Dynamix steers relevant loads and generators within constrained capacities monitored and enforced at 11kV/LV substations utilizing Broadband PowerLine Communication. Denver is a leader in this field and is a guest speaker on this and related flexibility topics within the energy sector.
