Daniel Serrano specialises in energy systems operation, modelling and regulation, with a focus on renewable energy, storage, electricity wholesale markets and transmission systems. He has developed various software tools, including expansion planning of electricity generation and transmission systems, long-mid-short-term hydro/thermal dispatch models and power plant optimisation tools. He led the analytics practice at MRC-SURECA where state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and business intelligence tools were developed and utilised to provide data-based products and is currently Iberia's Market Lead for the Electricity Market Outlook at Ricardo.
