Christian Barba is the Senior Director of Energy Storage for Iberia and Europe in EDP. He is also member of the Executive Board of the European Association for Storage of Energy.

Since 2023, Christian is also a visiting professor in the Sustainable Energy course in the Digital and Innovation Business postgraduate program in IE Business School.  

Before joining EDP Renewables in March 2020, Christian was the Business Development Director for Europe and Africa in Grupo Cobra, where he joined in 2016.

With 20 years of experience, Christian has worked extensively in Energy and Environment fields since the beginning of his career.

MsC Infrastructures Engineer, Christian holds an International Executive MBA from IE Business School and a Master in Artificial Intelligence in the School of Science and technology of IE University.
