Bedar Islam, global business manager for Johnson Matthey’s Low Carbon Hydrogen technology platform. He has been in the industry over 27 years and has been serving O&G and energy sector over decades. Bedar is a chemical engineer, during early part of his career, he was a process engineer conceptualizing to design & commissioning large-scale plants around the world. For his contributions, Bedar was recognized with numerous awards (Technology Excellence, Most Effective Technology are few to name) by Dow Chemical company.

Bedar has been travelling extensively around the world, serving customers in numerous value chains; O&G, Syngas, Petrochemical, Polyethene market, power sector and Agri sectors. His current and past technology portfolios encompassed gas sweetening solvents and efficient CO2 capture, catalysts, licensed technologies, proprietary equipment, innovative chemicals to improve overall sustainability; operational efficiencies, reduced carbon footprint, CapEx and OpEx.

Bedar is passionate about technological means to address needs for a sustainable world; decarbonization, energy transition and Hydrogen economy are all underpinned by overall sustainability focus and holistic social needs.
