Anton Schleiss
Anton Schleiss graduated in Civil Engineering and obtained a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. After that he worked at Electrowatt Engineering Ltd. (now AFRY) in Zurich being involved many hydropower projects around the world. In 1997, he was nominated full professor at the Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and became honorary professor in May 2018. He was president of ICOLD from 2015 to 2018. He works worldwide as a consultant and expert in hydropower and dam projects and received several international awards. He is the scientific coordinator of the ETIP HYDROPOWER project funded by the EU Horizon Europe R&I program.
