Aleš studied Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, graduating with an Engineer’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He began his career at Iskratel. Iskratel was a comprehensive provider of info communications solutions. The company was created as a "joint venture" with Siemens. Aleš has held various roles in customer support and business development, and from 2009 to 2017 he held the role of Director of Product Management. In 2017 Aleš joint Iskraemeco. Iskraemeco is developing intelligent digital solutions and services for the energy and water sector. Since 2021 he has assumed the role of Director of Technology Center, and he is responsible for innovation and development activities across all entities inside of Iskraemeco global structure. In 2024 Aleš become a member of ESMIG  Executive Committee.
