Currently Head of Strategic Foresight and international relations at the Basque Energy Agency, the Basque Government entity for energy policy and strategic projects.

Previously, she worked at the Office of the Chief Economist at the International Energy Agency, contributing to energy investment analysis. Before that she held a role in operations process improvement at Iberdrola. 

Alana holds a double degree in Engineering and Business Administration, as well as a Master's degree in Mathematical modelling.
