Despite strong long-term revenue prospects, many European energy storage projects still struggle to attract investment. Short-term bankability challenges hinder financing. Drawing on Ricardo’s pan-European modelling, this session explores how market structures, financial expectations, and real-world conditions must evolve to unlock growth and enable a stable, decarbonised energy system.
