The GreenGasCastelfranco project is testing the injection of hydrogen and natural gas (H₂NG) blends into the existing gas distribution network, with four phases of up to 10% H₂ vol. The goal is to verify the integrity of the infrastructure and customer safety.

The project involves 40 residential customers and includes testing domestic gas appliances, safety checks and use of advanced gas meters. To date, three phases (up to 5% H₂) have been successfully completed. The final results will support updates to Italian regulations and safety standards.
