Future-proofed & Resilient Energy Ecosystems - 3 Participative Workshops by Climate KIC
The energy transition towards competitiveness and resilience needs a broad vision and the cooperation of multiple stakeholders. Climate KIC, the biggest EU Innovation Agency, has deployed over the past 15 years multiple place-based projects in Europe aiming for systemic territorial transformation. In 3 separate but complementary 60 min highly participative Workshops, we will share the key lessons learnt from our experience in three key topics:
1) "The Shift beyond ESG": Traditional ESG frameworks were never designed to help organisations adapt, innovate, or lead in today’s volatile environment. This session offers a practice to sense the emerging future by showing what is the SHIFT beyond ESG connecting with real-world challenges, shared knowledge, and peer insights.
2) "Government-Industry dialogues": No transition can de achieved in isolation. Participants will discuss the key elements -identified by Climate KIC through place-based projects- for an effective, long-lasting public-private cooperation as a key for a sustainable and competitive energy systems in their territory.
3) "Earth Observation for energy": We will share concrete examples of using Earth Observation into the energy sector and increasing the resilience and climate adaptation of territories.
The sessions will depart from 2-3 concrete experiences brought from local and International speakers (names tbc), and participants will be gathered in small groups where -following Climate KIC's participative methodology- they will share impressions, debate and draw concrete and useful conclusions on the way forward.
