ETIPs as catalysts for EU sustainable competitiveness
This panel session will explore how ETIPs can effectively channel the most promising R&I solutions from academia and industry to the EC. By identifying technologies that can be manufactured within the EU without reliance on critical raw materials, ETIPs can significantly contribute to enhancing Europe’s sustainable prosperity and competitiveness, supply chain resilience and technological sovereignty. This session will delve into strategies for optimising ETIPs role in this process, including effective knowledge transfer mechanisms, collaboration frameworks, and impact assessment methodologies, and showcase of relevant solutions from the storage, wind, hydropower, PV and CST sectors. EERA will also bring its point of view, based on the last report "Driving EU Competitiveness through Low-Carbon Energy R&I". Ultimately, the panel aims to generate actionable recommendations to strengthen Europe's industrial and technological leadership while advancing the Green Deal's agenda and the Union’s strategic autonomy.
