Jochen Hauff is a renewable energy strategy, policy, and sustainability leader with over 25 years of experience. He coordinates the Advisory Board of the “Adapt Your World 2025,” a conference project aimed at mobilizing private investment in climate resilience. As Senior Brandt Fellow at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy and as a faculty member of the Renewable Energy Management Program at St. Gallen University, he shares his vision and insights with students.
Jochen has extensive experience from his long-term tenure as Director of Corporate Strategy, Energy Policy & Sustainability for BayWa r.e. Group, a global renewable energy developer & solar wholesaler, where he was also a member of the investment committee of BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures. He served for 8 years as elected Board Member and Vice President of SolarPower Europe. Prior to that, Jochen spent 14 years of his career at the consultancy Kearney, where he advised well over 30 energy sector clients across 18 countries in Europe and abroad.
He currently focuses on climate resilience, particularly at the interface between renewable energy and sustainable agriculture & forestry, which he sees as crucial for increasing resilience to climate change to protect land, life and livelihoods. To this end, Jochen also acts as a seed investor in investment syndicates focused on regenerative agriculture and climate resilience.
