SSS is the world leader in automatic overrunning clutches for high power applications with installed references up to 400 MW, 4MNm of torque and 16,000 rpm. We have manufactured almost 50,000 clutches and supplied Power Generation and Energy Storage applications for over 50 years including Single-Shaft Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGT), Open Cycle Gas Turbines (OCGT), Combined Heat and Power (CHP), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES), Dual-Drive Gas Compressors and Clutch Enabled Synchronous Condensers (CESC).

SSS Clutches are supporting the Energy Transition and the integration of Inverter Based Renewables (IBR), by enabling power plants to deliver dispatchable intermittent power and to operate as a synchronous condenser, providing inertia, reactive power and fault current for grid strength and stability.

What will we be doing / showcasing at the event: We will be doing live demonstrations of the SSS Clutch and how this automatic over-running clutch can enable the Energy Transition and the integration of Inverter Based Renewables while supporting grid strength and stability.
