ANIMA Confindustria - Federation of Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries - represents the Italian mechanical sector within Confindustria. Founded in 1914, ANIMA gathers 34 associations and over 1,000 companies, employing more than 220,000 people, with an overall production value of €55.5 billion and an export share exceeding 58% (2024 estimates).

A dedicated working group within the Federation is committed to the research and application of hydrogen and nuclear technologies for energy production, reflecting the strategic role of Italian mechanics in shaping the global energy future.
