Scaling flexible power demand in Europe’s buildings: Voltalis presents its solutions for residential and commercial use cases
Voltalis, a European pioneer in energy flexibility, announces its participation in ENLIT Europe 2025, taking place from 18 to 20 November at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Bilbao, Spain.
As a key meeting point for energy stakeholders, ENLIT Europe brings together more than 700 exhibitors and 15,000 energy professionals — including industrial players, innovators, and policymakers — all committed to building a decarbonised, digitalised and interconnected European energy system.
Operating in 10 European countries, Voltalis currently aggregates over 1.5 million electrical devices across 250,000 residential and commercial sites, providing 1 GWc of flexible capacity integrated into balancing, capacity, ancillary services, and local flexibility markets. The company’s ambition is to reach 10 GWc of distributed flexibility by 2030.
At ENLIT, Voltalis will demonstrate the capabilities of its Virtual Power Plant (VPP) — a digital power plant currently controlling 1 GWc of flexible load through its proprietary Demand Response technology, enabling CO₂ reduction, improved grid resilience, and lower energy costs.
Voltalis supports:
· Building managers and owners in the commercial and residential sectors by helping them unlock and monetise the flexibility of their electrical installations;
· Grid operators, local authorities and public agencies in managing peak demand, preventing outages, and facilitating the integration of renewable energy.
The company will also present its range of turnkey solutions:
· Voltalis for Business, a flexibility management interface for commercial and tertiary buildings.
· MyVoltalis, the energy consumption management application for homes, equivalent commercial premises, student residences, tourist accommodation and retirement homes.
· Voltalis Virtual Power Plant, a platform enabling flexibility monetisation on electricity markets.
“Our mission is to make every building smarter and more useful to the power system. By unlocking and monetising flexibility, we provide non-fossil capacity that lowers costs and supports decarbonisation. ENLIT is the ideal opportunity to demonstrate how technology and partnerships are accelerating this transformation at a European scale”, said Mathieu Bineau, CEO of Voltalis.
Voltalis will be located at Stand 3.D30 – Bilbao Exhibition Centre (Halls 1, 3 & 5 – North Entrance).
