Under this agreement, DLMS UA will develop a DLMS Communication Profile for Wize, ensuring its data model and format can be exchanged efficiently and interoperablly over Wize networks, definr communication golden devices for DLMS UA’s qualification programs and explore further possibilities to enhance “DLMS over Wize” solutions.

For more than 30 years, DLMS UA has developed and maintained the globally recognized DLMS specifications— a comprehensive framework defining the DLMS/COSEM data model, format, and application layer. These telecommunication-agnostic specifications enable secure, interoperable data exchange across energy and water metering and management systems. They provide a proven foundation for exchanging legally relevant data and building devices and networks that operate seamlessly across manufacturers and platforms. Today, DLMS specifications are the world’s most widely adopted data model for legally relevant information exchange, including billing services.

For over 15 years, Wize has been a leading LPWAN technology in the battery-powered smart metering world, with more than 18 million connected meters worldwide.

This strategic collaboration with Wize Alliance aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the water and gas sectors by enabling standardized DLMS data models over Wize networks. Utilities will benefit from interoperable, reliable, and scalable smart metering solutions, unlocking greater operational efficiency, improved resource management, and actionable insights for millions of consumers.
