Zoran Marinšek
Dr. Zoran Marinšek is a researcher and a manager. He graduated and received his PhD from University of Ljubljana (1987). During his career he accumulated experience in several research fields, starting with thermodynamics and nuclear engineering in J.Stefan Institute (JSI) in Ljubljana (1979-1987) and Centre d'Etudes Nucleaire de Grenoble (1973-1974), then moving to computer controlled systems in industry and internal energy management systems, and finally to flexibility management in energy trading processes in Smart Grids. He was co-founder and first manager of JSI's first spin-off company INEA (1987-2004) and since 2016 director of Competence Centre for Advanced Control Technologies. He was Scientific & Technical Manager of project GOFLEX (2017-2020). He is co-founder of technology start-up OFFSET Energy (2021). Zoran is a Fellow of Slovenian Academy of Engineering and since 2017 President of its Platform for energy.
