Svein Jørgen Sønning, Head of Technology at NODES, is a tech and energy optimist. Ahead of joining NODES, his focus was on developing novel product offerings at a vertically integrated utility in Scandinavia. At NODES, Svein is responsible for the tech strategy and exploration/exploitation of new opportunities for value creation among existing and new utilities and flexibility service providers. Over the last few years, Svein has had a key role in expanding NODES flexibility markets from Europe to new transformative initiatives in Canada. Svein Jørgen holds a Bachelor from the NHH Norwegian School of Economics and a Master of Science in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and Columbia University of New York. His thesis explored Business Model Innovation for Incumbent Energy Companies in Europe.
