Simon has a wide range of diverse business, leadership and governance experience. He has worked in the Public, Energy, Tech, Sustainability and Information Service sectors. In 2006 he co-founded Green Energy Options and helped build it into a successful medium sized home energy management business. He now runs The Traxis Group, a collaborative venture aiming to be a catalyst for District Energy. He is also Chair of smartEn's Active Buildings and Neighborhoods Committee. He has built a significant knowledge base about the smart and distributed energy marketplace from multiple business, policy and consumer perspectives.
