Robert Paulnsteiner is project manager and innovation technologist at VERBUND, Austria‘s leading electricity company and one of the largest hydro power companies in Europe. He is the project coordinator of the European lighthouse hydrogen project “H2FUTURE” and has more than 23 years of industrial experience.
Before his engagement at VERBUND Robert Paulnsteiner was 11 years in leading positions at Austria’s oil and gas company OMV where he was responsible for the conceptual design, feasibility and basic design of projects in the fields of power and energy supply. During this period he was also involved in several development and research projects, some of which also dealing with hydrogen. For six years he was head of the department “Projects” at Austria’s gas transmission system operator Gas Connect.
In the beginning of his industrial career Robert spent 10 years in the international power industry working in the fields of process design and engineering, particularly energy technology and flue gas cleaning.
Robert holds a Master of Science degree in Process Engineering from Vienna University of Technology and also holds a post graduate Master of Science degree and a post graduate Master of Business Administration degree in Management from Johannes Kepler University Business School in Linz (Austria).
