Rita Streblow studied building technology at the Technische Universität Berlin. Since 2007 she is chief engineer at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at RWTH Aachen University where she received in 2011 her PhD. She leads the team Digital Energy Neighborhoods where her main concern is accessibility, usability, and application of data for the efficient and sustainable operation of building and urban and urban energy systems. Since December 2019 she has a visiting professorship for "Digital Networking of buildings, energy systems and users” at the Technische Universität Berlin as part of the Einstein Center Digital Future.
