Pilar Meneses de Quevedo
Pilar Meneses de Quevedo finished the PhD in Sciences and Technologies applied to Industrial Engineering at University of Castilla-La Mancha in 2018. The framework of the thesis focused on the development of operation and planning models for the electrical distribution network that incorporate renewable energy as storage systems. In addition, she previously worked in energy trading, designing purchase and sale strategies in the electricity market and in the daily management of the scheduling of generation plants. Currently, her main fields of research focus on stationary applications of energy storage systems, both in the integration of renewable energies in the operation of electrical networks and network services, as well as in the charging of electric vehicles at recharging stations and self-consumption facilities. Specifically, its main competencies focus on the development of methodologies and tools for sizing electrical storage systems such as Li-ion, incorporating degradation algorithms, and on the techno-economic analysis of battery viability.
