Martin Daronnat is currently Head of Business Development for the Trading Business Unit of Vattenfall, responsible to develop new products and countries together with the respective trading desks. The team currently offers fixed price offtake towards flexibility assets with the ambition to grow a merchant flexibility portfolio going forward.

Active since more than 8 years in the energy business, Martin has a strong background in Flexibility and Renewables origination. He has been active in many countries around the globe developing flexibility markets, VPPs, demand side response and batteries monetizing solutions in Europe, Asia and Africa, for companies like E.ON and Energy Pool. He operated portfolios of several GWs of flexible assets of all sorts as well as Renewables.

He lead and closed several large PPA transactions (x TWh/y, x b' deals) on the back of Renewables assets of Vattenfall, both pre and post FID, in the context of offshore bids or divestments of assets, together with financial and industrial partners.
