Marco Barra Caracciolo holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Salerno.

He began his career within the Enel Group, where he assumed increasing responsibilities in various departments and companies, distinguishing himself through the innovative capabilities he brought to the processes and organizations he led.

Notably, he also served as Country CIO Italy for the Enel Group, achieving significant and recognized results in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness of the digital evolution programs of the Country and the entire Enel Group

In 2019, he joined the Italgas Group as Chief Information Officer, leading the implementation of the company's IT strategy and accelerating the digital transformation program. This program was developed through the Digital Factory structure and applying Design Thinking and Agile methodologies.

In July 2021, he was appointed CEO and Chairman of Bludigit, a company within the Italgas Group. Bludigit's mission is to streamline IT activities in terms of efficiency and internal cost control while simultaneously developing new synergies both within and outside the Group.

Operating as a service provider, Bludigit aims to offer proprietary cutting-edge digital solutions to other operators in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
