Luc Dufour
With over a decade of experience in Switzerland, I have specialized in applied data science within the energy sector, focusing on the intelligent management of energy for neighborhoods. My work has revolved around advanced artificial intelligence techniques to optimize heating, hot water, and electric vehicle usage.
I pursued my doctorate in collaboration between France and Switzerland, concentrating on the energy management of positive energy buildings. This academic endeavor laid the groundwork for my expertise in managing large-scale projects in the energy domain, including serious gaming, microgrid development, and the prediction of renewable energy production and consumption.
Five years ago, I joined EDF, where I currently lead a team of 15 professionals across two major projects. The first is GlocalFlex, aimed at providing flexibility services for the electrical grid through innovative edge and cloud solutions. The second project focuses on delivering 100% cloud-based services. My commitment to driving energy efficiency and sustainability continues to shape my career and contribute to the evolution of smart energy solutions.
