Joy co-founded and currently leads Palantir's Utility practice. From initial work in emergency response operations (notably helping PG&E with Public Safety Power Shutoffs), Palantir Foundry now partners with utilities across their value chain, powering workflows from renewable operations to asset health, work planning, customer notifications, or EV expansion. Before joining Palantir in 2018, Joy led a research group in experimental cosmology at UCLA, building telescopes to understand the origin of the universe. She holds a PhD in Physics from Columbia university.
