My name is Irina Apostol, and I am honored to have received an invitation to speak at Enlit Europe 2023. I am excited to participate as an in-person speaker for the session titled "The heating & cooling challenge".

I am a young specialist in the energy field with a master's degree in Energy and Environment and a bachelor's degree in Engineering and Energy Management. Currently, I work as a Developer of Energy Management Informational System for Green City Lab Moldova NGO. Additionally, I am a University Assistant at the Energy Department of the Technical University of Moldova where I am responsible for delivering laboratory classes for students.

My primary responsibility at Green City Lab Moldova is to manage delivering energy management services for the public sector. This includes developing energy audits, estimation for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources projects, as well as delivering lessons on sustainable development for public workers.

Currently, I am managing the "Rolling out Energy Management Services at National Level in the Republic of Moldova" project, where we adapt for local market the Energy Management Informational System (EMIS) developed in Croatia, which has also been implemented in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. For now, we collected information for about 5300 public buildings and their energy and water consumption. Afterward, we will provide energy management services for the top 300 least energy-efficient buildings.

I am committed to continuous improvement of my knowledge and skills, so I recently became an Energy Auditor of public buildings and related engineering systems, and Manager of the Energy Management System according to ISO 50001:2018.

I look forward to attending the Enlit Europe 2023 and sharing my knowledge and experience in energy management for heating and cooling of the buildings with the participants.
