Irene Fastelli is dealing with Innovation in Enel since 2006, having the opportunity to focus towards various business lines, from large centralized plants to distributed generation, storage, smart grids, microgrids and new services to customers. Currently she leads a smart group focused on Improving effectiveness, adoption rate and value extraction of Innovative solutions In the business related to plant operation and maintenance.
Previously she has the opportunity to deal with new storage technologies technologies and Business Opportunity ensuring technology scouting, performance assessment, systems integration and field demonstration. Formerly, she had the chance to lead the creation of Enel Research Lab on Energy storage and microgrids. Her activities focused on innovative storage systems and energy conversion technologies within the national and international energy scenarios. She received her Master degree in Chemical Engineering in 2005 at the University of Pisa, Italy. Irene has a Magister degree (Executive Master) in Technology and Innovation Management from University of Bologna.
