Huib Blokland has a senior position in the world of technology development for gas grids, with a focus on digitalization of the gas grid. He is project manager in international consortia in the field of gas flow and quality sensing, physical simulations of the gas grid and investigations on the capacity management of gas grids. In the recent years, with a strong focus on renewable gases, he is able to push the whole trajectory from project initiation, management and valorization, resulting in a wide range of activities leading to concrete products and services with a high added value of TNO technology inside. He bridges fundamental research activities and the application in products and processes. He uses his broad international network to connect partners and technologies.
